Forney’s allure derives from the fact that it’s among the top fastest-growing cities in the DFW Metroplex in the last 3 years and is only a short drive to the big city. In addition to its close proximity, Forney has multiple public schools that offer a diverse learning environment. FISD is partnered with both Eastfield College and Texas Tech University, which the students surely benefit from.

Aside from affordable housing and award-winning education, Forney offers a lot of activities for families to enjoy. The city thrives on culture, food, and good quality of life. Forney’s Downtown District offers a variety of local cuisine, from chain restaurants to southern cajun, pizza, and American dishes. Forney also has a rapidly growing buyer’s market that includes daily trade items like grocery stores, local shopping, and other retail areas. If shopping isn’t your thing, cruise around outdoors where you’ll find plenty of neighborhood parks and recreation centers. Forney has a 170-acre Community Park and has walking and biking trails, sporting events, and even entertainment. Spellman Amphitheater, which holds 5000 seats, is located at the Community Park and hosts many concerts and movie events for Forney residents. 

Forney also has a few events and festivals throughout the year, such as their New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, Craft Beer Festival, and Arts Festival. And if you’ve seen all you can see in Forney, it’s a part of the DFW Metroplex, which has plenty of things to offer, such as Six Flags, Lake Grapevine, or the Dallas Arboretum.
